Lehane Environmental, as part of our Environmental, Health & Safety Management System is continually looking for new equipment which can improve the impacts and aspects of our works. The removal of dry media including carbons, resins etc is a longstanding problem. This media is contained generally in confined access vessels and historically Clients used to remove the media manually using buckets etc. Whilst vacuum tankers were used in more recent times, the removal operation involved the addition of water which added to waste volumes and it was a slow process.
Lehane Environmental is pleased to introduce our Big Bag Filler which significantly reduces the associated impacts and aspects with traditional media removal methods. This unit is the only one of its kind in the country making us the market leader in the safe removal and bagging of media. The media is suctioned out using ultra high powered suction into a special hopper which fills big bags (FIBCs). The unit is remote controlled offering the operators total control at all times to ensure the highest safety standards. The unit is specifically designed for dry dusty wastes and as such all dust issues are dealt with effectively. An automatic filter cleaning system is built into the unit to ensure the highest removal efficiencies of the dustiest loads.
