On-site sludge dewatering to reduce waste volumes, costs and emissions
Efficient Waste Reduction
Waste reduction is a critical element of the waste hierarchy. Ambipar provides mobile dewatering units that process liquid waste streams directly on-site, reducing disposal volumes by up to 80%. This delivers significant cost savings while supporting environmental and sustainability targets.
Tailored Dewatering Solutions
We offer a range of mobile dewatering equipment to suit different applications:
-
Centrifuge Units – ideal for high volumes (100 tonnes and above)
-
Belt Press Units – suitable for continuous large-scale operations
-
Mobile SDT Units – highly effective for smaller facilities such as wastewater treatment plants, grease traps and similar systems
How the SDT Unit Works
The SDT Unit is self-loading via vacuum and incorporates a primary filter system capable of handling debris, plastics and other solids. It then doses polymer to bind sludge particles, allowing water and solids to separate.
-
The filtrate (separated water), rich in organic nutrients, can be returned to the treatment unit, aiding system restart.
-
The filter cake is transported to approved outlets such as composting facilities for sustainable disposal.
